Eek...scary...but still, ascalon, and the whole of tyria in general, had a huge number of unsolved plot threads that they could build onto...tbh, I wouldnt mind seeing some more about the mursaat and the charr...

This thread should be blown to bits. Way too much speculation and rumour spreading in the OP and it's being passed off as fact.

with all the spec, if you actually replay the ending and listen to the words spoken by the narrator..

something along the lines of :
This marks the end of the five gods *hint*!

so obviously the next installment will be completely different and *new*......

Try finishing Prophecies again and this time take a couple of endgame quests from Glint, you'll have your chance.

I think more advanced would be sweet, like machines and stuff (I'm thinking like 1800-850 here, not too early, but more advanced) Towns with shops and stuff, not just people selling stuff outside buildings, going in buildings would be cooler.

The enemy: a rouge country with it's way too modern equipment for the times, while we still have things just a bit more advanced than the other chapters, they have thing's like railroads and cannons.

Mounts would be good I think, and if they made mounts they could make a ridiculously big map with lots of exploring to do ^_^

As for Warmaster Pattons suggestion, I personally think machinery would be a bad idea but the idea of having real towns is a good idea.

Umm, because there are 6 Gods now ... the time of the 5 Gods is over. Take your own hint and apply some logic.

Gwen has become the Charr Queen and launches a new invasion of Ascalon, taking over everything ... then we must stop her from taking over Kryta and moving down to Elona on the same ships used by the players. Domain of Anguish ... pssshaw. Gwen's Great Invasion will put it to shame.

the only way to stop it...will be by combineing enough tapestry shards to make a full tapestry! then you can trade it into gwen for the same armor that gwen is wearing! There will be 2 new greens as well: Gwen's Flute, which is a ele focus item, and gwens red cape, which is just cool like that....yeah...

if a release date isn't on the official website for a game, never believe it.

1st of the month is usually a default date, since they dont have an exact one.
I'd expect end of april really, like chapter 1 and 2.

I have mixed feelings about chapter 4. Whild I love GW and love to get more content, the audience isn't growing, but the area is. Thus, the population gets more and more diluted, and the game gets closer and closer to single player. (This is for PvE alone).

In any case, I think it would be really cool if ch4 was a prequel. Like if it was in the time of or slightly before the Guild Wars. I really doubt that will happen, but I think it would be awesome.

I'd rather they take longer so theres at least half a chance the game will be finished and include all the content on release day, rather than the money men dictating when the game should be released, as they dont care if it's not finished just as long as they make their projected sales figures for that period.

I support that 100%.

I totally missed the whole "there will be a chapter 4" thing, can anyone show me where this was said?

Also, if we return to Tyria or there abouts surroundings, i think we may re-ally the Mantle and Mursaat. Turns out we should have been friends all along and kept the bloody door shut Possibly the only thing we still feel uneven on is Hablion's "Chosen Murders", oh and the fact they're trying to overthrow the Liongaurd... which no one really cares about (or is that just me?). Anyway, we kinda started fighting with them over the whole Chosen Murders, so retaliation was inevitable, and thus the rest of Prophecies.

I want to know more about the Ancient Seer's race. They're obviously related to the Mursaat, possibly even the same species but different political faction. And since they helped us defeat the mursaat to open the Door of Komalie... thus releasing the Titans on the world - it throws their allegiance into question.

And did you notice how the Scepter of Orr just... vanishes... during the endgame cinematic? Curiously after Glint sent us running off after the boat. Did Glint take it? If not her, who? And why?

Personally, my checklist, what I would like to see for a Guild Wars chapter 4 release is as follows.

1) Mounts (horse, camel, elephant, pony, etcetera.) Basically anything that will allow you to normally increase your travel speed. Without having to equipm running skills. And I'm thinking that mounts should not be available at towns or whatever, but they should be available like outside in the explorable areas. Have a small stable area where you can rent horses or whatever for you and your party members (read: heroes / henchmen).

2) Machines. I would like a slight increase in the technology available. I'd like to see the increased use of black powder weapons like muskets and pistols. I'm not saying make a full out profession that uses guns as weapons, but you should be able to buy one-shot inventory items that let you do a one-shot ranged attack (with a musket or pistol) at an enemy. That would be incredibly cool. I want the new seige weapons of war to no longer be ballista and trebuchet. I want cannons, too. I want to see the beginnings of a railroad system. A means of getting from one town to another that you haven't actually had the chance to walk to yet.

3) Professions. Okay, yes, I AM saying that I want a full out profession that uses guns as weapons. I'd like to see a gunslinger profession. Dual wielding gun that can do a little more damage than an assassin's daggers, but with a slower attack rate. Gunslinger and maybe something else. Something like Warmonk where you can fight with your bare hands and feet. Awww yeah! Where you can like equip brass knuckles in order to attack with your bare hands and feet. So you don't have to completely restructure the game engine.

4) Limited Time Travel. I'd DEFINITELY love to go back to pre-searing and explore more of the Charr lands and find out maybe what it was that caused the Charr to invade first hand. See what we could do to maybe try to stop it, learn that time is unchanging, and no matter what you do you can't stop the inevitable. But still it would be incredibly fun to play around with. Pre-searing, and maybe use this limited time travel as a means of getting the slightly advanced technologies. Such as gunslinger and seige weapons, and the rail road system. The possabilities are endless!

5) Additional races. If this game was meant initially for humans only, then why even have another "friendly" race like the Shiverpeak Dwarves. Allowing additional races would not "break the game" like many people suspect. You don't have to have them with "different stats" just because they're dwarves, or Tengu. Just leave them with the same stats (or whatever) as humans, just with different skins. Dwarves and Tengu get no special treatment because they are dwarves or Tengu. Treat them like different proportioned humans and boom. Problem solved.

And if I think of anything else that I'd like to see in a future GW game, I'll add it... OH!

6) Missions to help clear land and help pave the way for railroads to other continents (like a railway from Tyria to Elonah -- only if you have both previous campaigns). Seriously! The possabilities are freakin' endless!!

7) An actual music-related profession. Somebody whose weapon is an instrument. Whose very voice is the weapon.
